Right after the Meet&Greet press conference with all the participants of 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice, Poland, we have spoken to Ireland’s Anna Kearney on her attitude to singing in Irish and Linda Martin’s (Eurovision 1992 winner) role in preparations to Junior Eurovision!
PFE: Hello, Anna! Firstly, congratulations on your performance, it was great! I’d like to ask you about singing in Irish, because it’s not a common or popular thing in music. Is it hard?
Anna: Thank you! Well, it’s like fine for me as I used it for Junior Eurovision. Irish is not my first language, English is. It’s good, it’s really nice singing in my native language.
PFE: Can you tell me something about Linda Martin? She’s been really engaged in Junior Eurovision. Did she give you any advice?
Anna: I was very honoured to have her in my music video! She did give me some advice, she said ‘just go there and enjoy it and have the best time you can, cause it’ll be ever’
PFE: Thank you very much and good luck!
Anna: Thank you!
